Welcome Note

The reward from creativity and innovation can only be secured through protection of Intellectual Property Rights.  Any intellectual property right holder, who is also the owner just like the owner of any other property, owns all the rights attached to it.

Intellectual Property ranging from Patent, trade and service marks, geographical indication, industrial designs, trade secrets and copyright can be protected depending on the countries own laws and international laws or conventions.

Normally Intellectual Property Rights grants exclusive right to owners to exploit these works. A creation or innovation has the same or even more value to other movable or immovable properties.

It is true that creators and innovators in developing countries like Tanzania do not explore enough the commercialization of Intellectual Property Rights to the extent that creativity and innovation fades away without any or enough incentive to the creator or innovator.

This blog aims at creating awareness and updating our valuable visitors/readers interested in intellectual Property and other laws related to intellectual property rights including Competition law, Information and Communication Technology, unfair competition, privacy and personality etc.

More explanation on intellectual property and other related laws will be explained here so sit back and enjoy the blog.
